The Shadow Throne, Quote 2

TST_large

Just a short quote today, with Jaron doing the speaking (of course – when does he ever let anyone else get a word in?)

“Your recruit didn’t get the description of your odor quite right. He said it was similar to a skunk’s, but I think that’s unkind to the skunk.”

THE SHADOW THRONE, releasing on Feb 25! War is Coming…

Hmmmm, I wonder who he’s talking to. Of course you won’t tell us, because you are already being so “generous” as to giving us these quotes, that you can’t possibly say any more spoilers than this. All it’s really doing is making the suspense building up even MORE! Maybe that was your intention all along….;)

    *Read it*
    *Reads it again*
*Bursts out laughing*: “HE SAID… OH MY GOSH, JARON! ‘HE SAID YOU SMELL LIKE A SKUNK BUT I THINK THAT WOULD BE UNFAIR TO THE SKUNK’!” *Hyperventilates and tries to breathe, but is laughing too much*

Is there a way I could pre-order a paperback? Or a signed copy?
    Thanks. 🙂

It won’t be in paperback for about a year from now, so you can wait until then to get it. Or if you want a signed copy, the easiest way is to order by tomorrow evening at this link: http://www.kingsenglish.com/book/9780545284172 In the comments section, you can put your name so I know to sign it to you!

Mrs. Nielsen, my friend is anything but fair. She’ll have me up to my neck doing her dirty work. It’ll still be worth it!
I’m so giddy. I might not be the first one to read the book but I still get to read it and that’s something cause I remember I had to wait like months before I got my hands on The Runaway King.
I started reading this series last year when my friend gave it to me for the summer and I was so surprised at the ending.
I remember going to her when school started again and shouting, “IS THERE ANOTHER BOOK TO THIS CAUSE IMMA DIE IF THERE ISN’T??!!” It was fun watching her reaction. Weather it was because I sent her eardrums into shock or because I had come out of nowhere yelling that, I’m not sure. I knew she’s clobber me afterwards but it was still fun. Also I SERIOUSLY wanted to know if there was a book after the False Prince. And there was thankfully. Unfortunately, there was a huge waiting list at my library for it so, as I said before,I had to wait months. It was pathetic.
Anyway, I’m just glad I’m not gonna have to wait that long this time. I’m so happy and exited and elasticated and giddy and all the other adjectives you can think of that have to do with happy! My face hurts from smiling so much. By the way, my brother is right next to me calling me psychotic and mental, but who cares? I so exited ! ! ! 🙂 🙂 🙂

I just finished chapter twelve. I’m not going to say anything about what happened in case someone that hasn’t read that far reads this comment. But I just want to say, WHAT YOU HAVE DONE HAS PUT ME IN DEEP PHYSICAL PAIN. I could not be more destroyed right now. I’m quite angry. I LITERALLY cried a minute ago. and I’m about to go do it again. I will be up all night reading. Thanks a lot…

Ha! That’s so like Jaron. My mom ordered the book for me and I was so frustrated about how long I had to wait for it to come! I told my mom that if it came while I was at school, she should call me and take me out of school early. She didn’t like that idea. So I settled for something a little less extreme: when the book came, my mom was to wrap it in 10 layers of wrapping paper and sing happy birthday to me as I walked through the door (even though it wasn’t anywhere close to my birthday). I waited anxiously for days. On days where I would have to stay at school late for an extracurricular activity, I would text or call my mom to see if the book had arrived yet. When she would tell me that it hadn’t, I would go into incredible hulk mode. When it finally came I was so excited that I screamed at two little boys who were in my house who I thought were my brothers. Turns out they were my brother’s friends. I kinda freaked them out. Oops. 😉

That’s really funny, Bailey. Sorry your brother’s friends were freaked out, but hey – if you’re excited then you’re excited! That’s just how it goes!

    Dear Mrs. ]Nielsen,
Thank you so much for writing these books. I love them so much ( I actually read Shadow Throne in 4 hours!).
But I can’t believe they are really over. I know it sounds crazy but it feels like a piece of me has DIED. Is there any possible way that you could write more about Jaron? Are they going to make a movie(s) on the books? Thanks again, you have truly inspired me as a writer (a young, potential writer, but still a writer of sorts).
    Sincerely,
    Hannah

Thanks for reading, Hannah! I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed the books – it’s possible I’ll write more about Jaron down the road, but who knows? In the meantime, I’m still creating other stories, ones I hope you can enjoy just as much. Paramount has hired a screenwriter to work on a movie version, though it’s not certain yet whether the movie will actually happen. And I LOVE that you are doing some writing of your own. Keep going with it – create your stories!
